The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Luncheon this month gave employees Audrey Semm and New Team Leader Trudy Lingle an opportunity to update those attending on the new store and its time line leading up to the Grand Opening next week.
Semm gave a short presentation about the changeover from Pamida to Shopko, saying some areas of the store are open but they continue to work on completing the changeover in preparation for the Grand Opening.
Since the merge of Pamida and Shopko, they have become one of the largest retailers in the nation, she said.
Shopko, by focusing on smaller towns, can get to know their clientele better she said, and because Shopko will be bringing in name-brand, high-quality merchandise like Paula Deen, Willow Bay, Nike, Adidas and Avia, there is no need to go out of town to find them, she said.
Shopko is partially open now, she said, but the store will be having their Grand Opening Thursday, November 29th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, prizes, gift cards, drawings and refreshments.
The community is invited to attend.
