The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce offered their monthly Chamber Luncheon Wednesday, this month featuring a relatively new organization, Creekside Performing Arts.
Phil Holden and Mackenzie Sauers, with Creekside, spoke about the group, their upcoming shows and future hopes and plans.
Holden tells us more about the group and some upcoming events.
The performing arts group began last summer, putting on a presentation of “The Wizard of Oz.” They then put on a Holiday favorite “A Christmas Carol” late last year.
They are currently in rehearsals for their next show, a children's story entitled “The Frog Prince Unraveled,” which will be presented at the Buffalo High School Auditorium Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th at 7pm and again Sunday, May 5th for a 2pm matinee.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $2.50 for kids and those 5 and under are free.
The fundraiser for this year will be presented Friday, May 31st Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd . A dinner theater production of “The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare.” Holden said it is a three-person production, somewhat of a farce, encompassing the entire writings of Shakespeare in 90 minutes. Tickets for dinner and the theater are $40 each.
They also touched on this summer's production of “Beauty and the Beast,” which will have auditions in June and performances in August.
