Chamber Director Angela Jarvis gave a presentation on what the chamber offers to members and explained what they have been involved in since she took the position a few years ago.
Chamber membership has grown from 211 in 2008 to 320 today, and the budget has grown from $140,000 to over $260,000 she said.
She touted the visitor's center on Highway 16 East as a major accomplishment. Phase II of construction, which will complete the parking area is expected to begin later this year. Other accomplishments are the numerous events that have begun or grown in recent years like the Oktoberfest, Longmire Day and Crazy Days and Crazy Nights.
She said they have been working hard to bring Buffalo and the region to the attention of markets both domestic and foreign, through events like the Rocky Mountain International Roundup and through exposure from the motion picture and television industries, and more filming is expected around Buffalo in the future.
She wrapped the presentation saying they have taken the Chamber to a whole new level and thanked everyone for their help through volunteering, sponsorships and many other ways to make the Chamber and its events a success.
