Buffalo's Building Inspector Toby Rhoades gave a report to the city council at their last meeting August 7th, saying he has seen increases in the requests for building permits.
For the month of July, he issued 30 permits, two of which were for new homes, four were for improvements for commercial buildings and 26 were on residential buildings.
City Attorney Ben Kirven reported that the SAVE (Students Against Violating the Earth) group at Buffalo High School is interested in helping clean up the dumped air conditioning units from city-owned property behind the Econolodge.

Mayor Randy Dyess said the city has watied 15 years to get the A/C units cleaned up, so waiting another few weeks for the kids to help would not be an issue.
