The City of Buffalo and Town of Kaycee will receive money from the State Lands and Investments Board (SLIB) to help fund projects in both communities after their application was approved last Thursday.
Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess and City Planner Zach Montgomery attended last week's SLIB meeting in Cheyenne hoping to secure funding to help pay for the sports fields complex and the Kaycee street light project.
Montgomery tells us more.
The communities were awarded just over $477,000 with $1,500,000 split between the entities from surplus one-percent funds.
The final design of the sports fields complex has not yet been adopted, but is scheduled to be completed by March 15 of 2012.
Construction on the complex is tentatively scheduled to be completed in Decemeber of next year.
The Kaycee street lights project's share of consensus money is $10,600.
