For the last two summers the Brooks Street construction projects have created issues for downtown residents and businesses with constant detours and street closures. That will finally come to an end this week as the project nears substantial completion. All downtown streets are open and the contractor is working on punch list items.
The two-year and two-phase project not only reconstructed the road surface but also allowed the City of Sheridan to replace some of the oldest infrastructure in the city.
Last minute concrete work on Brundage Street sidewalks and some of the alleys was completed this week and should be ready to open in a few days. Substantial completion on the project is set for tomorrow, November 6th. Final completion is scheduled to take place on November 20th.
Other recently completed road construction projects include the West Brundage Lane project and the Huntington Area Project. Concerns over any of those projects should be voiced to the City of Sheridan engineering department.
