At their latest meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees took care of a number of smaller items on their agenda.
A presentation of a high school diploma was done during the meeting to one student who wasn't quite ready to graduate with his class last May.
Dr. Rod Kessler, District Superintendent, explains further.
Kessler r said school administrators and staff are busy with back-to-school projects, readying their buildings for the upcomng year.
The new Cloud Peak School will have a public Open House on Thursday, August 22nd from 3 to 5pm to give the public a chance to see the newest school in Buffalo.
Small construction projects are continung with the plan to be completed before the start of the new school year.
Meadowlark Elementary is having work done in the office area to better security at the school.
Replacing flooring and adding storage projects continue at Buffalo High School.
And Kessler said last-minute hiring for staffing the school is also underway.
The board also reviewed and approved the list of activities for the schools and will submit that to the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) so they are covered under the blanket liability insurance pool.
