Briefs From Latest Buffalo City Council Meeting

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council dealt with a number of smaller issues.

Ordinance No. 1365, annexing the “Madsen Addition” to the City of Buffalo was passed on third and final reading with no public comments offered.

A number of requests from the Chamber of Commerce for this weekend's Longmire Days celebration were approved by the council. Approved were: a Malt Beverage permit for a street dance; a designated open container area; and street closures on South Main from Fetterman to Angus from 5 to 11pm and another on Fetterman next to Crazy Woman Square on Saturday, August 17th to accommodate the street dance downtown.

Catering Permits for the Hampton Inn's back patio on August 17th and August 24th for wedding receptions were both approved.

The final payment to Barnum Construction on the 18-inch water transmission line from the water treatment plant into town was tabled to give city employees more time to look into landowner complaints stemming from reclamation projects on their lands that are not meeting the landowner's expectations.
