Briefs From Buffalo City Council

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council heard brief reports from the City Building Inspector and City Engineer.

Building Inspector Toby Rhoades said he has issued three building permits and has been working on remodeling inspections.
He has been working with the county assessor on permit updates and has done some plan reviews and finished some contractor renewals.

City Engineer Wayne Hill reported that the contractor at the sports fields complex has completed painting the interior of the snack shack/crows nest/restroom building and have begun installing shelving and counter tops in the snack bar area.
Outdoor work, seeding and other work on the fields themselves will begin once the warm weather arrives in the spring.

Hill has continued to work on GIS/mapping for the city and county, saying he has added over 7,000 lines on the drawings. He expects to have four or five times that many lines added before it is completed, but he said is is coming along well. Once completed, he said, it should be a very handy planning tool for both the city and county.

The next Buffalo City Council meeting will be Tuesday at 5pm in City hall.
