County Office Fire Under Investigation, Arson Suspected
UPDATE: 8 a.m.
The investigation is under way on the fire at county attorney's offices early this morning. Police Sgt. Travis Koltiska said work is just beginning to determine how and where the fire started, and whether arson is involved.
He said the fire was spotted on the north side of the building, and called in shortly after 4:30. He added that fire crews were on the scene very quickly. He said there is substantial fire damage on the main floor of the building, including a lot of damage in the file room. Smoke damage has occurred throughout the building.
City firefighters were reported just returning to the fire station shortly before 8 o'clock. Sheridan Media will remain on the story, and there will be updates as soon as information is made available.
