The 25th Annual Bozeman Trail Days will be happening this weekend at Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site near Story.
The three-day event begins Friday and runs through Sunday with living history demonstrations, tours of Fort Phil Kearny and the nearby Fetterman Battlefield, and a history symposium and dinner on “Red Cloud's War.”
The symposium will feature events on the Bozeman Trail, Red Cloud's role and how the conflict affected the history of this country.
Sonny Reisch, curator of the historic site, gives a rundown of the weekend's happenings.
Although there are many events throughout the year at the fort, Reisch said this weekend's event is the biggest and best attended.
The Bozeman Trail Days do draw the history buffs to the site, but Reisch said it's not just for the avid history fan, but for families, the curious and fun at heart.
