Cheyenne Central Captors FFA won 1st Place in the Border Wars Ag Sales Division at Sheridan College March 8th.

About eighty Future Farmers of America, or FFA, students from all around Wyoming and Eastern Montana competed in the annual “Border Wars” at the Watt Ag Center at Sheridan College Tuesday. Ag Instructor at SCC, Chuck Holloway, outlines how the competition was conducted.

South Dakota is usually a participant in the Border Wars, but because of weather concerns, they had to bow out of the competition this time around.

New to the 2011 contest was the Environment and Natural Resources division. Keith Klement is the Director of the Sheridan College Ag Department, as well as an instructor in Natural Resources and Ranch Land Management. He describes what the students had to do for that division's competition.
