Sunday, the Sheridan College Veterans Club sponsored its COMBAT Color Fun Run. Participants dressed in white t-shirts, could either run three miles or walk a mile and a quarter, but either way, enemy combatants met them and attacked with colored powder.
A fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, Sheridan College nursing student, Katie Connell, took great delight in attacking with the colored powder.
Amanda Cummins was there were her family enjoying a beautiful day, supporting a great cause. It took a little bit of courage to push the baby in the stroller while running through enemy territory.
One purpose of the Wounded Warrior Project is “to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.”
