Two Sheridan College professionals have teamed up to write a textbook that was released in mid-January. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson with the story.

Diane Redman, Director of the Massage Therapy program at Sheridan College, and Ardath Lunbeck, Dean of Arts & Sciences for the Northern Wyoming Community College District, spent five years collaborating with photographer Adam Jahiel and two local models to write and provide photographs for a body work textbook.

Called Ergonomics: Body Mechanics and Self Care for the Body Worker,Redman tells us how they determined the need for such a book.

While there are books out there dealing with massage, Lunbeck says their textbook furthers study on the topic.

The size of a workbook, the text is filled with Jahiel's photographs and detailed illustrations designed by a staff member at the publisher, Pearson-Prentice Hall. Redman tells us how they came upon the title.

The book is being sold through local book stores and online, with information distributed to all the body work and massage therapy schools around the country as well.
