At their meeting Tuesday, the Sheridan County Board of County Commissioners unanimously moved to support the upcoming bond issue regarding the expansion and renovation of the tech center at Sheridan College.
College president, Paul Young, makes his case to the commissioners, requesting their support.
He says Sheridan College's impact on the local economy is significant and that it's vital it keeps growing.
Commissioner Steve Maier reminded citizens that Sheridan College is not a state institution and that it was created by taxpayers and is still owned by the taxpayers. Maier said in counties across the state, colleges are supported through bond measures like the one that will be before county voters during the special election on August 20.
