The Sheridan County Board of County Commissioners approved a motion to amend the contract for countywide service with Rocky Mountain Ambulance at their meeting earlier this week. Sheridan County Administrative Director, Renee Obermueller, says the ambulance service's subsidy has been decreasing over the past few years.
She says during the County's discussion with Rocky Mountain Ambulance, they worked out what portion of the subsidy would be devoted to bad debt or charity care service - where payment is not typically received.
But overall, Obermueller says she's pleased with the services Rocky Mountain Ambulance provides for Sheridan County residents and wants to continue to work with them.
Rocky Mountain Ambulance also receives as subsidy from the City of Sheridan.
