A little over a month ago Meadowlark Elementary School in Sheridan was named a National Blue Ribbon School for their excellence in education. Tuesday, during their first quarter assembly, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill was on hand to present Principal Jason Hillman with a plaque commemorating the honor. Hill also had a few words for the hundreds of students that were gathered in the school gymnasium.

Principal Hillman reflects on receiving the award.

District Two Director of Elementary Education Scott Stults said that Meadowlark being named a Blue Ribbon School is a reflection of the staff that Hillman has assimilated and their dedication to provide the best learning experience possible for the students.
