Health professionals from the area will offer various types of wellness information to the public for free this Saturday at the Sheridan County Health Fair.
Cecile Pattison, Community Relations Director at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, tells us about the yearly event.
Pattison added that more than 40 booths will be set up with information on anything from mental health to eye care.
Pattison says each year people come to the Health Fair with questions about many issues concerning their health.
Representatives from local services and agencies will hand out information on assisted living, diabetes education and prevention, CPR, oral health, radon awareness, and much more.
The Link - Partners in Pink will have a booth at the Health Fair, and representatives will hand out registration forms for the upcoming breast cancer awareness run/walk in October.
Hospital personnel at the booth will offer information on breast cancer prevention and awareness. The Link works with Sheridan Memorial Hospital, encouraging breast cancer awareness. All funds raised this year will go to fund the new Welch Cancer Center.
The Health Fair is this Saturday, September 24th from 9 am to noon at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College.
