The community blood draws for the towns of Ranchester and Dayton sponsored by Sheridan Memorial Hospital have been planned for this month and next.
Both have been set for a morning, from 6:30-9:30, at the town halls – Ranchester's on Wednesday, April 30, and Dayton's on Thursday, May 1. Anyone is welcome to take part in the draw.
Organizers say please remember to drink plenty of water while fasting for 12 hours prior to the screening – unless you are a diabetic, then you do not need to fast. Drinking black coffee or tea is also acceptable.
The costs for the screenings are: $50 for a wellness panel with TSH, $15 for a complete blood count, $30 for a PSA for men $5 for a colorectal screening kit and $35 for a diabetic management panel, which includes glucose and A1C. Results will be mailed to participants after the blood draw.
