It was a push come to shove match on wheels as an exhibition match of Women’s Roller Derby came to Sheridan Saturday night. “Scary Keri” from the Billings Roller Derby Dames gives us a basics.
Held at Scotty’s Skate Castle, it was all about sparking interest in the sport and starting a women’s roller derby team here. Danika Chavez from Scotty’s tells us why.

Passion, pursuit and power, that’s all part of the sport. For Scary Keri, there’s one more aspect.
Wyoming has women’s roller derby teams in Cheyenne, Casper, Gillette, and Laramie and there’s also the team from Billings. So there’s plenty of competition to play against. It takes about 20 women to form a team and members must be 18 and over. If anyone is interested in starting a Sheridan team, contact Scotty’s Skate Castle.
