The Sheridan County Education Association is holding a silent auction on one-of-a-kind works of art.

Ed Fessler is the Dean of Students for Post-Secondary Education at Sheridan High School. He explains the purpose of the fundraiser.

The birdhouses will be on display in the SHS Commons during the five performances of the musical production “Peter Pan,” which runs February 24th through the 27th. Fessler says they are worth bidding on.

A truly collaborative effort, Fessler says that the blank structures of the birdhouses were made by the students in Dan Miller's Woods class. They were built as a simple tools and safety review at the beginning of class last fall; Fessler proudly adds that those students are now building "fine inlaid furniture."

Starting bids for the birdhouses will be $25. If you have questions about the event, or about the scholarship program, call Ed Fessler: (307) 672-2495, Ext. 2108, or email: Ed.fessler@scsd2.com
