Billings Organization Aims to Provide a 'Safe Haven' for Abuse Victims

Valerie Courtney with the Billings-based BVC Safe Haven Ranch aims to eradicate child abuse. Someday, Courtney says she hopes to have a plot of land where survivors of abuse and abused animals can come together to heal. This April, they will be holding their first annual fundraiser in Billings. Courtney explains what the organization is all about.

Herself a survivor of abuse, Courtney says the topic of crimes against children is one that's often kept too quiet - but she says its a topic very close to her heart.

On April 10th, the group will be holding an event at the Shrine Auditorium in Billings featuring public speakers and music.
