BHS Principal Updates Board On Happenings At School

Buffalo High School Principal Chad Bourgeois gave his usual report to the school board at their last meeting, and updated them on what was currently going on with his students.

The Principal reported that there were students preparing for the State Forensics Meet, others participating in practices for spring sports.
There are 33 kids out for girls' soccer, 34 out for boys' soccer, 39 out for track, and although he didn't have specific numbers, he said the numbers out for golf are higher than they have been in recent years.

He is currently busy with conducting interviews to fill two math instructor and a Special Education Director vacancies.

April 9th, Mary Ellbogen Garland and other representatives from the Ellbogen Foundation will be at Buffalo High School at 8am to present the school with their Meritorious School Recognition award.
The school must have at least 20% of their teachers become certified in the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards to qualify.

Kaycee school will have a ceremony to recognize their reaching Meritorious School status at 10am that morning as well.
