The Buffalo High School Drama Department will perform Arsenic And Old Lace Friday March 4 and Saturday March 5 at 7pm both days at the BHS Auditorium.
BHS Drama Coach Nancy Tabb tells us what the play is about.
"Arsenic and Old Lace" was written by Joseph Kesselring in 1941, before the United States entered World War II, to entertain Americans and hopefully take their minds off the war in Europe.
The play opened on Broadway, according to Tabb, and became a critical and popular success, running for nearly 1,500 performances. It is still a favorite production of amateur theatre groups everywhere.
The Buffalo High School performances are free and open to the public, but donations are gladly accepted to offset the costs of costumes, sets and other related costs.
