This past Friday and Saturday, Buffalo High School hosted their annual Buffalo Master's Tournament, drawing Forensics and Speech participants from all over the region to participate.
BHS Forensics Coach Walter Farwell said many of the kids were competing for the last few available spots at the state and national qualifying tournaments, and that many schools use the Buffalo Master's Tournament as “the last proving ground to determine who advances to these contests.”
Twenty-three schools and 430 individual students competed in 10 different events during the two-day tournament.
Events included Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Speech and Dramatic Interpretation to name a few.
The Awards Ceremony was canceled Saturday afternoon due to weather, and results were expected to be available Monday.
