The Buffalo High School Forensics team has qualified four students to the National Forensics League National Tournament in Indianapolis this summer, and are having a fundraiser Tuesday evening to raise money to help get the students there.
This is the fourth time in a row the team has qulified four students, according to coach Walter Farwell. He tells us more about the “Fight Night Fundraiser.”
Farwell said it will give community members a chance to put their debating skills up against the best local students.
The fundraiser will be Tuesday evening at 6pm at the Hampton Inn in Buffalo. There will be refreshments and it is free to attend but voluntary donations will be accepted. Speech water bottles and bags will also be available for purchase with all proceeds going to offset costs with sending the students to the National Tournament.
For those unable to attend that would like to contribute, contact Farwell at BHS at 684-2269.
