State Representative Rosie Berger, who's a Republican from Big Horn, says she's running for another term, which would make her seventh for House District 51.
So, since Wyoming representatives hold two-year terms, that means she's been serving as a volunteer legislator for the past 12 years. She said, at first, she didn't think she was legislator material.
That was part of the reason, she said, she decided to run, once again.
But, it's a far cry from when she first jumped into the race, and has since turned into a dedication to the post she'd never imagined.
As a result, she said, the journey to being elected taught her several a href="/audio/2014/05-02-34.mp3">lessons.
And once she got in, she said, she experienced an amazing revelation. Instead of being the only person making the decisions for her own company, she was now one of 60 voices making decisions for the entire state.
Berger made her announcement to run today during our news talk show. You can hear the entire interview by clicking on the Public Pulse selection on the home page.
