BeneTerra, a waste water dispersal and management company based in Sheridan, was recently named Water Management Company of the Year for 2012 at the Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Awards ceremony in Denver.
Adam Zimmer, business development manager and part of the senior management team with BeneTerra, shares the significance of the award.
The company, which has additional offices in North Dakota and Brisbane, Australia, was also selected as one of six finalists at the awards ceremony for Rocky Mountain Region Water Management Company of the Year.
Zimmer says BeneTerra started out with a focus on the national coal bed methane market, and has grown significantly leading to its recent recognition.
BeneTerra has treated and dispersed more than 7 billion gallons of produced water via irrigation since the company's inception in 2002.
