Two benefits for families needing help will be this weekend in Buffalo.
The first benefit will be Friday as friends, family and community members gather at the Johnson County Fairgrounds to raise funds for the Joe Jarvis family.
Joe recently spent time in the hospital with infections that ultimately led to his leg being amputated. Hospital bills have been accumulating and the family has no insurance. Family member Angela Jarvis explains the situation.
The benefit will be this Friday, March 4th at the fairgrounds and will start at 5:30 with a spaghetti dinner and an auction starting at 6:30.
Local businesses and individuals have donated goods and services to be auctioned, and the proceeds from the dinner and auction will go to the Jarvis family. For more information, call Deb Gay at 684-2970 or Marty Zegstroo at 684-5575.
On Saturday, there will be a benefit for the family of Danielle Dull to help offset medical expenses as well. Danielle was the victim of a domestic violence incident where she was dragged behind a vehicle. She is facing a long and difficult recovery.
Danielle's benefit will be at the Hampton Inn from 5 to 8 pm. For more information on the benefit, call Rose Maude Harriet at 217-2161.
