A concert to benefit the victims of the Ash Creek/Taylor Creek fire will be tomorrow night at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. More than 15 local bands will take the stage between 5 and 11 p.m. while patrons are encouraged to participate in silent and live auctions. Food and beverage vendors, including the Black Tooth Brewery, will also donate their proceeds to the cause. Teka Brock, of the Teka Brock Band, talks about how the whole things started.
Brock says the benefit has grown to involve many local businesses and agencies, who were eager to help with donations for auction, which include a saddle from King's, a truck load of hay, a whole beef, and a live goat. She said they've also already raised approximately $10,000, thanks to the generosity of the community.
The benefit concert will be Wednesday night at 5 until 11 at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $20 at the door.
