Behind The Scenes Workers Give Extra Effort For Community

Picking up after a party is never fun. But what if you had to pick up after a party of 5,000 wild and crazy people? The City of Sheridan Streets and Sanitation Departments have Sheridan WYO Rodeo clean-up down to a science. Solid Waste Division Manager Charles Martineau says cleaning up after the weekend’s downtown activities takes everyone’s help.

In the past, the City has received complaints about the way Main Street looked after Sheridan WYO Rodeo events. The Street Maintenance and Solid Waste budgets allowed for the large amounts of overtime necessary to clean up the City. All but two or three of the landfill staff worked throughout the weekend to make sure residents woke up to a downtown free of trash from the previous night’s rabble-rousing.
