The Buffalo Downtown Association hosted this month's Buffalo Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours Thursday night from 5 to 7 pm.
The purpose of the event was to share some camaraderie, refreshments and to showcase projects past, present and future for the BDA.
The BDA and the Vision Buffalo Commission have both formed from the former Buffalo Development Association with the BDA primarily focusing on the Main Street Program, designed for economic development, while the VBC will primarily administer the Buffalo Downtown Plan, which has identified specific projects on which they will concentrate, starting with the redesign of Crazy Woman Square.
The BDA has been responsible for bringing to downtown the Main Street Market, Alive After Five, the Chalk Art Festival as well as the recent Visual Merchandising Workshop for downtown business owners.
The BDA has these and other events planned in the future to showcase downtown and make the area a destination for locals and travelers alike.
