Landon's Greenhouse and Nursery is once again, hosting their fun and free workshops to help those 'green thumbs' out there become more successful. Saturday it was all about “The Basics of Planting Bare Root Trees and Shrubs,” led by former nursery manager Wayne Gray.
It's just cheaper to plant bare root.
Gray says there are other benefits.
There isn't much growth difference between planting bare root or planting from a container.
Gray also touched on the topics of pruning, planting, watering, protection and fertilizing. The Saturday workshops will run through June.
