Authorities Encourage Residents To Be Alert But Not To Worry

In the aftermath of yesterday’s shooting death, many Sheridan residents have concerns for their safety. Authorities are out in force and will certainly be on a heightened state of alert for a while, even after the current homicide case is closed. Sheridan Police Chief Mike Card says people can take several small changes in their routines that will make a big difference.

Card says he doesn’t believe the general public faces any danger from anyone involved in this case.

Anyone with questions or concerns for the police are encouraged to call the non-emergency number we have posted at sheridanmedia.com. If you see something suspicious or out of place, report it to police immediately. Card says the days of the “open door policy” among friends and neighbors may not be gone in Sheridan but using door and window locks would be much more prudent.
