Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago gave a quick update on the Muddy Creek re-alignment to the Johnson County Commissioners at their last meeting, saying not much had been figured out yet, but they were continuing to work on the issue.
He said he and engineers with Bighorn Surveying and Engineering had looked over detailed aerial maps of the Muddy Creek area.
Landowner Peggy Drury thought the realignment of Muddy Creek Road would require her to acquire an easement from the state to access her property.
Crago explained what he and the engineers had found during their research.
He said it will be better if the road is designated private than public, which would require turnarouns accesses and other amenities.
The county will continue working with the state and the landowner to resolve the issue.
