Added to the agenda for Tuesday's Buffalo City Council meeting was a request from the Kiwanis Club for funding from the city for replacement of parts on the city-owned Christmas light strings that are put up on Main Street downtown during each holiday season.
According to USA Today 64 Kmart stores are being closed around the U.S. as they continue to see declining sales. We have confirmed that Sheridan’s Kmart is not one of those 64 however there are two Wyoming Stores closing, Riverton’s and Cody’s.
The Sheridan County Commissioners approved two contracts with state agencies at their meeting Tuesday that will allow for the disbursement of grants to local entities. The first contract was with the Wyoming Department of Family Services for a TANF grant.
The Wyoming Wilderness Association and the U.S. Forest Service are inviting the public to a stewardship outing at Sibley Lake Saturday. Heidi Davidson with the WWA said the outing will take place from 9 am to 2 pm.
