Ambassadors for Sexual Assault Prevention, or ASAP, will be offering a training seminar this Saturday at the Johnson County Fire Hall in Buffalo.
April is Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Prevention Month, and ASAP will present this “Darkness To Light” program to get information to those interested on how to keep their children safe.
According to information from ASAP, sexual assaults occur at alarming rated not only in Johnson County but all over the world.
The Mission of ASAP is to educate Johnson County about the occurences of sexual assault and the underlying societal, relational, and individual factors that allow for sexual violence.
Darkness To Light is an international nonprofit organization committed to educating communities on ways to protect children from sexual abuse.
The training will be offered Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm at the Fire Hall at 790 Volunteer Lane (just off of North Bypass Road).
Saturday's program is free to participate, but space is limited so they are asking those interested to pre-register with Heather McIntosh at 684-5117 or at email@example.com by Friday, April 19th.
