The Sheridan P.D. is taking applications for the Citizen's Police Academy.

The Sheridan Police Department has begun taking applications for the 2012 Citizen's Police Academy. The academy will be held one night a week from February 15th to May 1st.

Sheridan Police Sergeant Travis Koltiska says that all facets of the department are covered in the academy.

Participants will receive three hours of training one night a week for twelve weeks from 5 pm to 9 pm, including dinner. There is no cost to attend the citizen's academy, but class size is limited so the time to apply is now.

Applications can be picked up at the Sheridan Police Department or on-line at the City of Sheridan website.
