Man gets 4 life terms for sexually abusing minor
ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A 28-year-old Rock Springs man accused of sexually abusing a minor has been sentenced to four separate life prison terms.
Byron Nelson Griggs was arrested June 26, 2012, and charged with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. He was convicted on all counts during a trial in August and was sentenced Wednesday.
Sweetwater County Sheriff Rich Haskell says Griggs will spend the rest of his life in prison because there is no possibility of parole.
In 2004, Griggs was convicted in Laramie County of second-degree sexual assault.

$1M cash-only bond set in Gillette murder case
GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - A judge has set a $1 million cash-only bond in the case of a 21-year-old man charged in a fatal shooting in Gillette on Thanksgiving.
The Gillette News Record reports Todd Sindelar has been returned to Campbell County after spending several weeks in a South Dakota jail.
Police say a woman called 911 around 4 a.m. on Nov. 28 and said someone had knocked at their door and shot her boyfriend, 25-year-old Matthew Ryan Boyer. Police say Boyer and Sindelar had been involved in a dispute earlier about rent.
Later on the day of the shooting, authorities in South Dakota spotted a vehicle possibly linked to the crime. Police say Sindelar fled the South Dakota Highway Patrol at up to 120 mph.
Sindelar is charged with first-degree murder.
Man acknowledges illegally killing deer near Cody
CODY, Wyo. (AP) - Wildlife officials say a Michigan man has pleaded guilty to illegally killing a buck mule deer west of Cody.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department said in a news release that Stephen Kovacs recently acknowledged killing the animal without a license. Kovacs, who was ordered to pay $750 in fines and $4,000 in restitution, will lose all hunting, fishing and trapping privileges for the next three years.
North Cody Game Warden Travis Crane says he saw Kovacs shoot the deer in the Wall Creek drainage on the North Fork of the Shoshone River on Nov. 6. At the time, Kovacs denied shooting the animal, but tracks matching the tread pattern of his boots were found near the carcass and casings matching a round from Kovacs' rifle were found nearby.

Dominique Lee scored a career-high 17 points while Tevin Svihovec had 11 and Jordan Wilson and Derrick Barden added 10 apiece for Northern Colorado (6-3), which saw its four-game win streak end.
