Anti-abortion protesters demonstrated on Coffeen Avenue for a few hours yesterday afternoon.
They got a lot of attention from passers by because they were holding large, graphic signs that depicted bloody, aborted fetuses. The groups affiliation is unknown, as is why they chose to demonstrate in Sheridan.
The Associated Press reports similar activists have started a heavier campaign in Jackson, where an anti-abortion group out of Milwaukee, called Missionaries to the Pre-Born, secured permission to use the town square until Friday. The Wyoming Supreme Court recently made a ruling in favor of the protesters in Jackson, who were barred from the square last year due to bad public reception of the graphic nature of their posters.
