Earlier this week we told you that Sheridan City Councilman Steve Brantz would be running for Mayor in the upcoming election. A message left on the Sheridan Media newsroom phone alerted us that there had been another entry to this year's Mayoral race. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
Retired Sheridan resident John Self has announced that he'll file this spring as a candidate for Mayor of Sheridan. Self says that he strongly opposes the recent raise in the Mayor's salary that will go into effect January 1st, 2013.
Self stated that the criminals that he refereed to is the City Council and current Mayor Dave Kinskey. As you may recall, Self threw his hat in the ring for the race for Wyoming Governor last election, which he said he learned a lot from that experience and that he's an honest man that's going to run for honest government.
The candidate filing period for this year's election is May 17th through June 1st.
