Annual Pet-O-Ween Brings Hundreds To Kendrick Park

Devils, pirates, vampires, and ghouls are plentiful on Halloween but they usually don’t have four legs. Unless, they are part of the annual Pet-O-Ween celebration. The event drew nearly 100 competitors from ferrets to Chihuahuas, all of which were there to support the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter. Shelter Director Cel Hope says they couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Contestants were judged by a panel of 5 that had some difficulties in choosing the winners, with so many quality entries this year. Some entries even had to be called back to the stage to help break the ties at the bandshell in Kendrick Park. All the proceeds from the event benefit the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter.
