There are numerous events going on Friday and Saturday in Buffalo to kick off the Christmas Holiday Season, but the two main events will happen Saturday afternoon and evening.
The Chili Feed begins at 4pm and the Lighted Christmas Parade will start at 6.
Angela Jarvis, Director of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, who puts both events on every year, tells us more about the chili feed.
Jarvis wanted to thank all of the voluntees: the restaurants and other establishments that make the chili, IGA for donating ingredients, the Beat Group for serving the chili and the Lions Club for donating coffee and hot chocolate.
The Annual Christmas Lighted parade will begin at 6pm at thw south end of Main Street, wind through downtown and end near the Jim Gatchell Museum on North Adams Avenue.
There are nearly 30 entries for the parade so far, according to Jarvis, and more coming in every day.
She said the parade is a chance for everyone in the community, and those visiting, to get together and visit and have some fun.
Parade watchers are encouraged to find their spots along the parade route on Main Street from Gatchell to Fort Street before 6pm.
