The annual Quilt Display at the Johnson County Library begins Monday and will be up and available to enjoy through the end of March.
The annual event is co-sponsored by the Buffalo Quilting Gals and the library and is open to the public.
Library Director Cynthia Twing said this is the seventeenth year for the quilting show at the library.
She explains why she thinks quilting is so popular.
For those interested in celebrating the creativity of quilting, there will be a program offered Saturday, March 16th at 11am at the library that will feature Lorna White of White River, South Dakota. She is a Professor of Indian Arts and a quilt teacher, specializing in Indian Star and Bargello Quilting. She is expected to bring her own trunk show of quilts to the program.
Also, there will be another People's Choice Award for the public's favorite. Just drop off ballots at the library.
