Annual Broadcasters Convention Begins Friday in Sheridan

The Wyoming Association of Broadcasters annual convention is this Friday and Saturday in Sheridan. Numerous events are planned throughout the two-day convention, including a Republican gubernatorial candidate forum Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. WAB Board Chairman Kim Love says that the candidates will be Rita Meyer, Matt Mead, Colin Simpson and Ron Micheli, and that the public is welcome to attend.

Saturday night during the awards banquet, U.S. Senator John Barrasso will be honored with the Kerm Kath Friend of Broadcasting award.

There will also be two inductees into the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame during the banquet Saturday evening as well. One of those inductees will be the late Jim Carroll.

The other inductee will be longtime broadcaster Bob Price, who's currently the General Manager for K2 Radio in Casper.
