Animal Officer Emphasizes Importance of Leashes in Town

One of the most common incidents on Sheridan's daily police report is “Dog At Large.” Senior community service officer, Raymond Buhr, explains what that means. means.

Buhr pointed out that the only two off-leash areas in town are at the local dog parks, located on North Sheridan Avenue and the East end of Montana Street. However, other areas off-leash areas are being considered for future use. If your dog happens to get lost, there's one sure way to help your pup get off to a good start with the animal control officer who finds it.

Buhr assisted with this year's low-cost rabies vaccination event at Kendrick park last week, which facilitated rabies vaccinations to 797 cats and dogs within the community.
