Alcohol-Related Crime at Street Dance Down from Last Year

The Sheridan Police Department has confirmed the number of alcohol-related incidents at the recent street dance, including DUI arrests, minor in possession citations and public intoxication busts, are all significantly down from last year.

Lieutenant Chris Dahmke with the Sheridan Police Department breaks down the numbers in comparison to last year.

He says collaboration with local bar owners contributes to a better, safer experience for everyone in town.

In addition to an increased police presence and collaboration with business owners, Lt. Dahmke says the Free Rides Home program was a huge help in bringing the number of DUIs down and was an incentive for people not to drink and drive.
