This weekend's run-to-celebrate-a-holiday (St. Patrick's Day) is the 7th annual “Run Till You're Green” Fun Run, a fundraiser for the Sheridan Jaycees. Jarod Martin tells us more.
There will be a 1-mile walk and runs of 5K and 10K, all looping back around to the bandshell in the park. Prizes will be awarded to top performers in three divisions: under 18, 18 to 40 and 40-and-up.
The Sports Stop will distribute prizes. Of course, there will also be recognition specific to the holiday.
One of the Jaycees annual fundraisers, money goes to help with their Christmas shopping tour. Last year, their 48th, they were able to take 45 kids on each $140 shopping trips.
