It was every kid's dream come true...free swimming, free hot dogs and drinks, games galore; it was the 75th birthday party for Kendrick Park Pool on Saturday.
The wear and tear of 75 years can be seen at the pool. Morgan Johnston is in charge of the facility and and sees the effects of age.
Johnston was pleased with the turnout which was also a fundraiser with donations being accepted, but not required to get in, plus a raffle that will continue until the end of summer.
The pool has been an icon in our community through the years. Amy Bennage swam there was she was a girl.
Jared Karsky cooked up over 250 hot dogs, but he took it all in stride.
The swimming pool was built by the local Kiwanis Club in 1932.
