An event will honor soldiers and veterans this evening at the 3rd annual Powder River Let 'Er Buck Celebration at Whitney Park. Coordinator for Whitney Benefits, Janet Austin, says that the event will include a wide array of guests and happenings.
Sam Western's books about Whitney Benefits and Edward A. Whitney were released this week in Sheridan. Last year's Let 'Er Buck Celebration was held at the Sheridan College Golden Dome because of rain, and this year, weather permitting, there will be a fly-over from Bruce Garber in his 1942 Boeing Stearman. The event will feature a free barbecue and a concert from the Army Band.
